Some things you just pick up when you put yourself in an environment where things have to happen. That's my story.
I started doing production back in 2009 at a local church, with frequent excursions to youth and inter-denominational conferences over the following years, learning elements of lighting, sound, rigging, and projection as we went. In 2012, I moved to where I am now - Wellington, New Zealand.
I joined the production team of ARISE Church less than a month later, and ever since, I’ve worked in venues large and small across New Zealand.
My specialties lie in rigging, building weird-shaped LED walls, tech directing, stage managing, and generally thriving in the midst of a chaotic timeline. I’m experienced at bringing calm to a situation and making quick decisions under fire, and troubleshooting complex systems with minimal information.
I love the experience of building a space where people can come and have their lives changed, and the pure joy that comes from seeing a plan become reality.
